PENDULUM READING QUICK START GUIDE, PT 2

Alright, now you should have your pendulum & are ready to rock! (If you haven’t already, check out the previous post for part 1 of this series). So, let's dive into part 2.

PART 2: Getting Started with Reading

We've got our pendulum (or make-shift pendulum)- now what? Well, the first thing we need to do is confirm how that pendulum responds.

I see a lot of posts & instructional videos out there that say roughly the same thing - "your pendulum will move in [x-direction] for 'yes' and move in [y-direction] for 'no'." But is that accurate? If it is, then why do some of the posts list different directions for 'yes' and 'no'? What if your pendulum doesn't want to move that way?

The short answer is that your pendulum will move how it wants to move. Or more specifically, it will move how your Higher Self wants it to move. ;)

Pendulums are energy conduits. When using them in readings, pendulums interact with our Higher Self, or the energy of our Spirit / Astral Guides, to provide messages. Since we don't a ll think alike or have the same energy, our pendulums don't all respond alike. So, I always recommend that folks ask their pendulums to SHOW them their responses first, before attempting a reading.

To do that, ask the below questions & allow your pendulum time to move in the direction it wants to. Don't force it, but also don't try to hold your hand as still as possible. Just relax. Your hand is going to move (it's supposed to!) as the message travels from your intuitive center, down your arm & into the pendulum.

  • “Can you please show me ‘Yes’?”

  • “Can you please show me ‘No’?”

  • “Can you please show me ‘I don’t know’?”

  • “Can you please show me ‘I can’t answer that right now’?”

Make sure you take note of your pendulum's movements - write them down, so you can reference them later. I also check back in with pendulums that I haven't worked with in a long time to make sure the responses haven't changed - sometimes that happens & when I don't check, I'm left with a very confusing reading.

In part 3, we'll cover "calibration" - or how to tell when you're getting a "false" answer. ;)

Brightest Blessings,

-Cory
